Derek, what a relief man. I was mad at you, but now i forgive you lol. I guess i didn’t read too many of the comments on it; i wasn’t going to anyway. Most of what i read what pointless hater crap so i figured the rest was the same and didn’t bother. I guess i should read on regardless .

Which is exactly what the author is. Cheap shots at specific cars and painting us all with the “slamburglars” brush, knowing they are one of the worst examples out there.

Derek, you make a few good points, and you lose them all in your finger wagging tyraid at the end.

Jon, I meant the newest gen FWD Corolla, I thought everybody refers to the AE86 as, well, the AE86. The problem is, people read what they want to read, and I think Antonio from MotorMavens read just that. I sent him a note telling him that I did not mean the AE86 but he hasn’t made the correction.

Hmmm…. I didn’t lower my ride drastically, but too much of a good thing can be bad, ya know. I know my limit and others should know theirs. The only piece i didn’t like about the article was calling my 86 corolla “irredeemable garbage.” -_-
David, I know what you mean man. I’m in Michigan and i don’t think anyone could go anywhere with a drastically lowered car. It’s impractical.

Tell me about it, haha. Well said, but sadly the immature ones tend to ruin it for everyone.

Personally, I have a “form follows function” Miata, and a 240SX that’s going to have a bit more dedication to aesthetic appeal to the build, so I kinda play both sides. (But the 240 will be fully functional, no compromises. Just not everything for the sake of being faster or better.)

Funny thing is, most bloggers themselves can discuss this sort of thing without the horrid accusations and name calling, but it’s a lot of the commenters that take it to a whole other (unnecessary) level.
