BAPE, one of the pioneers of luxury street brands based in Japan, was notoriously known for it’s famous ape logo and stylish camouflage pattern. Working with the most prestigious and established brands in the world BAPE seemed unstoppable. So when news of BAPE’s sale to fashion group I.T. came around, many people were left scratching their heads not only because of the sudden news but also the price, 2.5 million. I’ve been waiting for other articles to come up about the purchase before I posted about this on my blog so that my readers could get a better understanding of what happened. The sale of the company came as a surprise to me since BAPE is known for extremely high priced items, we’re talking about $100 shirts and $400 hoodies here! Link to several articles below:
