Creating using the newest in web technology, The Chrome team was able to create an online racing game that can sync up to five different screens just by using a browser. XCAR: Toyota Supra: A Retrospective

XCAR’s latest video revisits the Toyota Supra, one of Toyota’s most popular family of cars before it stopped production in 2002. The Supra’s history started off as an answer to the Datsun Z, it quickly gained popularity because of its looks and power. Many of use remember the Supra being featured in countless magazines, Gran Turismo and of course The Fast and the Furious. The Supra featured in the film is a replica of the TOM’S Castrol Supra from the Japanese GT series, while it doesn’t have many of the features of the original – it shares the same livery, which was sent by TOM’S themselves.

In grand fashion, Polyphony released sparse details about their latest iteration of Gran Turismo slated for the holiday season this year. As you would expect, Gran Turismo 6 will build on Gran Turismo 5 by adding new tracks and cars to its extensive line up. The biggest overhaul will be its new physics engine and after market upgrades for vehicles in-game.

Lamborghini built their latest machine, the Egoista, to celebrate their 50th birthday. Gone are the traditional vertical doors, instead a jet fighter inspire cockpit is the center piece. The jet fighter inspiration can be see throughout the entire car especially in the interior design.

XCAR: Fastest Subaru Impreza around the Nurburgring

XCAR checks out Revolution, a shop in a UK to check out their project STi. At first glance it looks like any normal Impreza but you’ll notice that it only has 2 doors and much wider then a standard Impreza. The project was created to celebrate Revolution’s 15 years anniversary, with the final of goal of being fastest Subaru around the Nurburging. Tommi Makinen set the original record back in 2010 for Subaru Japan in a Subaru STi Spec C.

Inspired by the Porsche 356, the Porsche 550 is a race oriented spyder that was first introduced at the Paris Auto Show. Famous for its low stance and lightweight it was nick named the “Giant Killer”, actor James Dean was one of the first owners of the car and fatally crashed his. Addictive Studios, an agency from London, UK recreated the famous car in 3D and perched on a roof top. Originally a concept for a Beetle advert, the agency created a mock photoshoot with the car showing off the insane detail of the interior and exterior of the model.
