Rim to Rim & Bathing Stig iPhone 4/4S cases

I’m working extra hard this year to release new type of products, these two iPhone cases are the first of the many products I have planned. Taking two of my most popular designs I have modified them to look great on an iPhone 4/4S case. They are now available in the shop here.

These cases are manufactured by Uncommon, an American based business that makes a great case. The designs are embed into the case itself so they will are resistant to fading, peeling and chipping. They will fit all current models of the iPhone 4 and 4S.

IB in Performance VW (January 2012)

Lucky us! to kick off 2012 we were featured in UK-based publication Performance VW. As far as I know Performance VW is the best Volkswagen based magazine out there so it is an honor to be featured in it! Since we only have one VW shirt, it was the only one featured in the magazine. Check out the January issue of Performance VW, we’re on page 36!

S30 paper model contest vote

The S30 paper model contest finally wrapped up last night, although it started very slowly entries quickly picked up near the deadline. I’m very happy with the entries I received and would like to thank everyone who took the time to complete (or attempted to complete) the model. I’ve received some really unique entries and I hope everyone enjoys them! Voting ends on February 15th and the winners will be contacted afterwards.

Weights sticker pack & restocked stickers

The sticker section of our shop is finally getting some much-needed attention, after my original circle logo stickers sold out I ordered up a couple of new stickers to take its place. First up is the Weights sticker pack, originally featured on the Slow Down shirt but I thought it would be just as good in sticker form. We’ve restocked the original circle logo design since it’s a staple but also included a new inverted design in red. Hope everyone enjoys the new stickers!

Critical website fixes for Internet Explorer

So while testing out some websites on Internet Explorer 7/8 at work, I thought I would check out my site to see how bad it would look. To my dismay I discovered that my site crashes Internet Explorer 7/8 instantly, as you could imagine that’s pretty bad. Last night I hammered away at the site fixing most of the bugs and a few other things. I apologize for the mishap! To make up for it here’s a coupon code for IE users: IEFAIL. Series 5 update

It’s finally here, we’ve added four new shirts to the Series 5 line up. Unlike the first set of shirts we released, these four designs return to our original style of car inspired tees. Three brand new designs focus on cars we’ve always wanted to do shirts of, RPS13 (one of the first shirts we’ve made), R34 and the GD8. The Rim to Rim design finally returns with five more rims totaling thirty four all together. Hope everyone enjoys the new designs!

Forty Eighty

Known simply as the 240SX or the 180SX, it was the only time Nissan offered a S chassis in hatchback form (or what Nissan calls, Fastback). It wasn’t uncommon in the 90′s for enthusiasts to replace their battered front bumpers and with another S chassis front end. Creating unique vehicles like the Silforty and strawberry faces.

Rim to Rim (Navy)

This is a tribute to one of the most popular modifications purchased for a car. Not only does it change the aesthetics, but also agility of the vehicle. With hundreds of designers, car enthusiasts can choose from different styles, offsets, sizes, and colors to create their perfect look.

Slow Down

The Skyline name carries the tradition of dominating its competitors in any given race. The popular R34 continued this tradition when it entered in the JGTC series. Even when it was given heavy weight handicaps to even out the playing field.

Shooting Star

Japanese for the Pleiades star cluster, Subaru was once comprised of six different companies. The Impreza line has always been Subaru’s shining star, proving to be one of the most popular sports cars introduced.

Website Update – Version 5

It doesn’t feel that long ago from my last site update, hell it wasn’t…but I felt that the website needed an overhaul big time. As with every update I focused on making everything better (whatever that means), I made tons of small changes to speed up the site and made a few user interface changes. Since I rarely have time to sit down and code my heart away, this Christmas break felt like a good time to push out an update.

Out with the old in with the new.

Added the missing category and tags for each post.

Took out the recent posts and added, what's hot this month. Makes sense.

For the most part the update was really for myself, the last update left a lot of features out that I really wanted and never got around to. I also refactored most of the code so that it would be easier to add features when the time comes. Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays!

Finally added the search bar back, it was sorely missed by myself.

Some cross selling features of course!

S30 paper model contest

With the release of my S30 paper model I am also announcing a new contest. As you can guess, to enter contestants will have to finish the paper model and modify it. Fans can send pictures of their S30 model to Import Bible after which a public vote will determine a winner. First place will receive one of each shirt from my upcoming Series 5 release, runner ups will win one shirt or lanyard.

The Rules

Print off the paper model template here
Build the model
Modify it/customize the model with added parts and markers
Take at least 3-4 decent sized images of your model
Submit your entry to info@importbible.com with the subject “S30 Model Contest” or just click ~~here~~
Submit by January 31, 2011 8 AM GMT!

*It is fine to use an image editing program to colour and/or modify the template

Judging

You’ll be judged on creativity and originality

S30 paper model instructions

After an exhausting couple of months of on and off work, my paper model project is finally complete. The S30 is one of my all time favorite cars and it’s only fitting that I build a model based on it. This model isn’t for everyone, in fact I think it’s pretty damn tedious. If you do decided to take on this project make sure to print off the template on card stock or heavy weight paper. I recommend using white glue to attach the pieces together.

Instructions

Body

1) Form the boxes of the under carriage where the wheels will attach

2) Attach the under carriage/side panels with the upper side panels (1A + 1B)

3) Attach upper side panels with the roof panel, be sure to glue part of the under carriage box to the roof as well (1B + 1C), glue the black tab of the roof panel onto the under carriage

4) Attach the windshield into place (1A + 1D)

5) Attach the hood to the body (1A + 1E)

6) Attach the lights to the hood (1E + 1F), finish gluing the under carriage to the hood

7) Attach the lower bumper to the hood panel (1E + 1G)

Rear Wheels

1) Form the barrel of the rear wheels (2B), attach wheel face to the barrels (2B + 2A)

2) Attach the barrel to the tire wall (2B + 2C)

3) Attach the tire wall to the tire (2C + 2D)

*do not try to glue the tires together in a different order, otherwise you will have a difficult time gluing the tire to the tire wall

Front Wheels

1) Attach the wheel face to the tire wall (2E + 2F)

2) Attach the tire wall to the tire (2F + 2G)

Put it together/Extras

1) Glue the wheels on to the car

2) Form the spoiler, side mirrors and glue them to the car along with the license plate

3) Celebrate! You just made one hell of a model, take some pictures and send them over to info@importbible.com

Raw (blue) shirts shipped

All Raw (blue) shirts have been shipped as of today. Every time I run a group buy it seems like either the printing process or shipping gets delayed. Again I apologize to the customers who have patiently waited for their orders, to make up for it I included a small gift. Anyways if you missed out on the original group buy I do have a limited supply of extra shirts but they won’t last long.
