Being busy

After years of hard work I’m finally happy with the progress I’ve made with Import Bible. In 2011 I was able to sell nearly as many shirts as the past 4 years COMBINED! No small feat, but it wasn’t possible without my awesome customers. Lately I’ve gotten great feedback and comments from my customers around the world and it really blows my mind that someone half way across the world is sporting one of my products. New bike gear

So it turns out that after spending a hefty sum of money on a bike, I would have to pay for the required accessories I needed down the road. Required meaning I should get them now rather than later. Too bad I didn’t listen because after riding for a week I got a flat tire on my bike. Read more after the jump.

New York Trip Part 1

So I finally found some spare time to sit down and blog about my trip to NYC, overall a great trip and an eye opener. Living in a small city like Edmonton really makes me feel like I’m missing out on a lot of experiences that bigger cities offer.

New York City is almost overwhelmingly busy, full of city natives and just as many tourists. Much like the people living in the city every building, restaurant and neighborhood is unique in their own little way. Seeing so many people focused on making a buck is inspiring.

I’ll let the pictures do the talking now, I feel as if I had hardly scratched the surface during my trip but I loved every second of it.

Swapped the bike

After owning my previous bike for 2 weeks, I quickly discovered how annoying it was own an entry-level bike. On the Specialized bike, to shift up you have to press a lever near the top of the brake handles. This was all good until I discovered that it was impossible to press this lever while [...]

Finding a new hobby

It’s been awhile since I made my last personal post but a lot has been happening in my life. Recently I’ve been dealing with a ton of stress, a combination of client work, my part time job and Import Bible, left me with very little time for myself. Not to mention I started to develop a nasty strain on my wrist that made everything that much worse. The biggest source of my stress is the impending strike that is happening at CanadaPost. CanadaPost handles all of my shipments and unfortunately the only shipping provider that can provide the prices I need for small packages. More after the jump.

Ona Union Street Bag Review

I’ve been on the hunt for a good camera bag for awhile now and I think I’ve found the perfect one. It wasn’t easy finding the perfect bag, my main requirements was that it didn’t look like a camera bag, can hold my laptop, camera and an extra lens. Pretty tough criteria since 90% of the bags I looked at didn’t even meet the first and second point.

Edmonton Motorshow 2011: Lexus LF-A

With every year you can always expect another Edmonton Motorshow, a car show where the dealerships bring their new cars to impress potential customers. For the most part the cars are things you would normally see on the road with an exception of a few high end cars. I didn’t really care for many of the vehicles except for the Lexus LF-A. Upgrade time: Nikon D7000

Shortly after picking up my new lens, I went on a hunt for a new camera. Originally I had my eyes set on a Nikon D90 but since Nikon recently announced the D7000, I went with that instead. The main reason that I wanted the D7000 was because of its low light performance which I [...]
