While Depth of Speed has visited many unique shops/enthusiasts, their latest video should relate well to many car geeks. Joel Erkkinen purchased his Volkswagen Rabbit for a mere $400, it quickly died after being picked up. Josh hands down to North Carolina to visit a small shop called TBC Hot Rods and Bikes to check out a small shop that is reminiscent to the hot rod scenes back in the day. Building a hot rod or bike from scratch is no easy feat but that is exactly what TBC does, bringing both their customer’s vision to life out of raw metal. The shop also hosts “Garage Nights” and brings out a band for a good ol’ fashion meet.

A 1964 Corvair van isn’t your average van, in fact you wouldn’t think that anyone would average 60,000 miles a year in one. John Jackson owns NotStock Photography, he shoots custom hot rods and bikes for a living and travels around using his trusty 1964 Corvair van.

While wagons were never really that popular in North America, they still held a special place in car enthusiasts heart. Their quirky looks but practical nature made them unique compared to everything else on the road. Duane Schaffer is a wagon lover who owns a unique Datsun 510 wagon that catches everyone’s eye. Duane modified his already unique vinyl top to include a rag-top giving it his personal touch.

Josh Clason from Depth of Speed makes a California to visit Eric Bauer who recently purchased a KPGC10 GT-R from JDM Legends. The car couldn’t be in better hands, Eric is a teacher at the Art Center College of Design where he helps prepare future auto designers. The 300SL is one of the most iconic cars in the world and it caught the eye of many youngsters. That’s what exactly happened with this owner, taking over 30 years of hard work he eventually bought one for himself. Unlike other owners, he drives the car often through various and through any weather.
