The story of Lamborghini and its rivalry with Ferrari is stuff of legends. But how many of you know the story of Valentino Balboni? Valentino has gained a cult status, starting from the very bottom of the company Valentino eventually became Lamborghini’s chief test driver. Drive visits Valentino at the heart of Lamborghini to find out how the famed test driver started out at Lamborghini.

I guess superheros aren’t immune to traffic laws after all, cops pulled over Batman last week for driving his Lamborghini Gallardo with no plates (well actually a Batman logo). The cops were a bit confused and worried when they saw Batman was the driver, apparently he was on his way to a children’s hospital for an appearance. Nice to see rich guys having fun!

More money than brains? Heard that before, but it still holds true for these drivers. Watch as these Lamborghini Gallardo owners kick up the hoonage meter to 11 on a public highway (fail). After trying to squeeze two Gallardo into one lane, one driver couldn’t handle the awesome of the Gallardo resulting in one painful crash.

Following up to their awesome Ferrari Lego sets (which I happen to own one) Lego has released a set featuring the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. 1:16 in scale, the set features a staggering 700+ pieces and has a disappearing roof. Although it has the unmistakeably shape of the Gallardo, it uses quite a few stickers for the front lights, rear lights and interior parts. Maybe Lego should hire this guy to do a better job. Here’s another car I shot last week for Avant Garde Motorsports. Exotic cars are hard to come by in the city so it’s always a treat to have an opportunity to shoot cars like these. I liked this particular Gallardo because it had two things that I rarely see: manual transmission and center locking IMSA wheels. Yes, center locking – one lug nut bolts the wheels to the car, how unique is that? I can’t wait to share some more pictures with everyone, more of this car after the jump.

While contemplating whether or not to find a part time job while some paper work was being processed for my business, I send a text to David from Garage Works to see if he had any positions open. Luckily he had an opening for some general help and some other work (more on that later). On the first day back the Garage Works crew were headed down to the Edmonton Garrison for a press conference that we were attending, so we brought down two cars and what two great cars they were. I’ve never seen this video and hopefully you haven’t either. Here is a promotional video for Lamborghini’s Gallardo LP560-4 Superleggera (that’s a mouth full), the video focuses on Lamborghini’s extensive use of carbon fiber through out the entire car. Even though the original Gallardo Superleggera toned down the weight by 220 lbs, the new Gallardo LP560-4 Superleggera removes another 200 lbs and adds another 39 HP.
