I haven’t seen many 190s around town but back in the day these cars were thee sport sedans you wanted to get. As the predecessor of the C class, the 190 set the standard for luxury sport sedans in the eighties. This rapping duo certainly think that the 190 was legendary, releasing a tribute video named “The Mighty 190″.

Drive released one of the most entertaining videos I’ve seen in a while. Chris Harris takes an ordinary Mercedes Benz C63 and slaps on four spare tires on to it, increasing its “power to rubber” ratio. As you can imagine the dynamics of the vehicle changed but for the better of course, in the end Chris was pleasantly surprised at how well the vehicle maneuvered around the test track.

Check out this great guerrilla advertisement for the Mercedes-Benz C63. It shows a modified 3D model of your typical street surroundings against a blurred background to help illustrate speed. The banner reads “Looks fast. Even in park”. BBDO agency from Toronto, Canada created this great advert.

You’ve probably seen this video floating around but I had to post it. Motor Trend decided to hold the greatest drag race using only the best cars in the world. Mercedes Benz USA recently released a 5-minute video about the history of AMG. AMG is Mercedes Benz elite tuning division that is responsible for creating some of the scariest cars by shoving a v8 or v12 into them. Watch the video after the jump.

Superbowl XLV wrapped up yesterday with the Green Bay packers taking home the championship against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If you haven’t heard about the Superbowl it is the final championship game played in the National Football League in the USA. The Superbowl is easily the most popular/most-watched event on American television and is sometimes considered an American holiday. Due to its popularity,, commercial airtime is limited and extremely expensive. Because of the limited airtime and high cost, companies often focus on creating short memorable commercials. Everyone’s favorite Top Gear hosts are back for one more episode of the season. The three head down to the United States taking a cross country tour in three high powered super cars: Mercedes Benz SLS, Ferrari 458 and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. There is nothing like a modern take on a legendary design. If your a fan of Mercedes vehicles then your more then likely to know about the 300SL, a powerful grand touring car that was known for it’s iconic gull wing doors. After ceasing production, Mercedes never really created a spiritual successor to the 300SL until recently, lucky me I was in the right spot at the right time. Pictures after the jump.

2 weeks ago I read a really peculiar email from the Garage Works website, it was from one of the producers at WWE (a wrestling league of sorts). The producer asked if we could supply an exotic car for one of the wrestlers entrance for the upcoming Tuesday, a strange request but I looked into it further. After some back and fourth we arranged a SLR for WWE and delivered the car to the show, which had its perks. Not only did we get to go back stage before the show, we had lunch with many of the wrestlers and divas! Pictures after the jump.

Ah the McLaren SLR, a very interesting super car from Mercedes Benz. I remember this car fondly after seeing it for the first time on Top Gear, Clarkson used it to race Hammond and May. This car is very unique compared to other super cars from the quirky front tilting hood, side exhausts and front mounted engine.
