The Need for Speed franchise has always had that distinctive style that no other racing game comes close to. For their newest game “The Run”, EA asked famed director Michael Bay to direct the trailer. The results don’t lie, the trailer filled with non-stop action and explosions. Over the top? Yes but makes for a bad ass trailer.

Need for Speed’s best game, Hot Pursuit is back! To celebrate, the Need for Speed team created a real life enactment of what a typical car chase could turn out like in the game. A driver enjoys a spirited drive through the twisty roads of Italy in a Pagani Zonda Cinque, this doesn’t last long as a Lamborghini LP640 interceptor gives chase. The video has great camera work and unlike other videos the engine noises aren’t drowned out by the background music.

Looks like EA is planning to revive Need for Speed Hot Pursuit series with their new game by Criterion Games. The original Hot Pursuit game was easily one of the best Need for Speed games because of it’s unique cat and mouse game play. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit was revealed at this years E3. Game play looks more or less the same but this time you can play as either the hunter or the hunted. The release date for the game is set for November 16 this year, I’m looking forward to trying it out.

Will Roegge, the “damn, he’s good” cinematographer is at it again. Looks like Will has been commissioned by the Need for Speed team to create a promotional video for their FIA GT3 entry, the BMW Z4 (which, by the way looks smokin). The video doesn’t contain too much action but consider it a teaser for things to come.
