Time sure flies, this year the Audi R8 celebrates its fifth year in production. It wasn’t that long ago that Audi entered the super car market with its original V8 R8, even till this day the body lines of the R8 look fresh. After 6 models, is Audi finally ready to release a successor to the famed car?

Format67 is back at it again, you might remember the name if you saw their last video featuring the now discontinued NSX. As with their last video, the team has created a short video featuring an iconic car, this time the Audi R8 takes it turn. Beautiful camera work as usual from Format67.

It still eludes me as to why there aren’t more R8′s in the city, it’s an astonishing looking car and is by far the most practical super car I’ve ever seen. Having seen the car in magazines and even Iron Man I was very excited to see this car in person. The shape and styling is simply stunning, it sits extremely low and although it looks extremely wide – the overall size of the car is actually not that big. The biggest surprise was sitting in the car, it simply doesn’t have the typical annoyances of a super car: shoulder checking is easy, you can see out of the rear view mirror and you don’t have to contort your body to get in the vehicle.
