Check out this great video detailing a shops pursuit to beat the world record for world’s fastest 10.5 import. E.Kanoo Racing team of 25 people worked tirelessly to prep their Supra to take down the world record time of 6:25. I wasn’t able to find very much info about the car but apparently it uses a standard 2JZ block and uses 3/4 of the original chassis.

Crank and Piston with the help of Luke Huxham head down to Suzuka Circuit to preview Manabu Orido’s new 86 for this years Formula Drift. The vehicle features the beloved Rocket Bunny kit but the headliner is its power plant, a 5.8 litre V8 TRD engine usually reserved for Nascar vehicles.

Another great Superbowl wrapped up this past Sunday and while I won’t ruin the results for anyone who missed it (close game!) here is a nice summary of car related commercials that were featured in the Superbowl this year. Please note I’m not from the USA so I didn’t actually see these commercials on air so let me know if I missed out on any! My favorite would have to be the Volkswagen one!

To celebrate the return of Initial D I thought it would be a perfect time to release my shirt inspired by the cult classic anime/manga. I feel that a lot of people can say they were inspired by the show and while we didn’t know much about cars when we were exposed to these cool cars. I definitely remember watching the show in my teenage years but the image that stuck out the most for me was when Takumi’s raced the Toyota MR2 in Battle Stage and picked up a new trick.

While making cars out of unusual materials isn’t new (ahem) I’ve never seen a car built entirely from ice! I’m not exactly sure where the photos were taken but it looks like they were taken at some ice sculpture festival. Someone at the festival decided to carve a Toyota Land Cruiser even cutting out the interior.

Matt Farah returns for another episode of Tuned to test drive a modified version of FR-S. Built for Scion’s Canadian version of their Tuner Challenge program by team VCMC. While the vehicle sports a variety of great changes, the highlight would have to be it’s large power increase courtesy of a turbo.

Import Bible teams up with talented media group Maiham Media and Japanese shop TRA Kyoto to create high-resolution wallpapers of the popular wide body Rocket Bunny kit for the Scion FR-S. Seen early this month TRA Kyoto’s is the talk of the community as of lately. Wallpapers are available in different sizes and are free for personal use.

Making their mark with their 6666 Customs Nissan Silvia aero, TRA Kyoto is leaving their mark on the tuning scene with their new Rocket Body kit for Toyota’s FR-S/86.

Chris Harris from Drive gets some more seat time with the Toyota 86, this time bringing along the Nissan 370Z and of course Porsche Cayman S. While the biggest complaint about the 86 is the power many reviewers are saying the power is just enough but more importantly the car feels amazing.
