Mercury Cougar turns into a Bugatti Veyron

Earlier I posted about an affordable Bugatti Veyron that some of us could buy. Unfortunately that Veyron wouldn’t be able to get you from point a to point b, so here’s one that can do that. Besides the slight inaccurate body panels and the $89,000 price tag you would be hard pressed to find a better wannabe Veyron. Luckily you can purchase your very own from this ebay auction.

Cleaning that pesky Veyron window

We all know the Bugatti Veyron is stupid fast, were talking about a quad turbo W16 engine here. Heck, even the Lego version was far too technically advance for most people. Bugatti didn’t stop there, they made another version called the Super Sport – which features a super slippery body with an extra 200 horsepower. However they forgot to think of one thing, how on earth are you going to clean that back window? The window resides underneath two slopping arches, stopping almost everyone from cleaning that little window!

What your looking at is a very, very expensive watch winder. A what? Yes a watch winder, something that winds your watch so that it is the right time. If your in the market for one and you love cars, this would be the perfect one for you. Made from an engine block of a Bugatti Veyron, the watch winder can synchronize 16 different watches via touch panel display on the engine block. If your still interested, you can purchase one for a cool 90,000 euros. Ouch, I think I’ll wind my watch by hand.

We’ve all heard of the Bugatti Veyron, the ridiculously fast car that houses the amazing 1001 horsepower W16 engine. Surprisingly, many haven’t heard of Bugatti until the Veyron, but Bugatti’s namesake has been known for its exclusive cars since the 1920′s. Prior to the Veyron the top speed for production cars had not been broken for several years. As it would turn out, it would take quite a bit of engineering to shatter the top speed record set by the McLaren F1.

The National Geographic Man Made series went behind the scenes to find out how the Bugatti Veyron set the new top speed record for productions cars. The documentary shows us how the Volkswagen team engineered the complex parts and put together the amazing vehicle.

Bugatti Veyron guns down 2 Nissan GT-R’s

As far as illegal races go, this is by far one of the best videos I’ve seen. Mostly because the camera man was smart enough to not stick the camera outside of the window causing a lot of wind noise. Upon further research the video was produced by a group in Russia called Dragtimes.info, their site has a lot more videos that I think everyone would like.

Love how the modified GT-R rolls up like a big brother coming to save his little brother…but still loses.

A more affordable Veyron

When I was younger, I loved playing with Lego, it was by far my most favorite toy. Like many other kids, I would build many different things but building a car was always a favorite. What Lego mastermind Fernando made here is amazing! Not only did he build a 1:8 scale Veyron, he implemented several moving parts (roof & spoiler), 7 gear sequential transmission and steering. Pictures and a short clip after the jump.
