After a rocky couple of years it looks like the tuning scene is starting to pick up again. In 2008 Trust filed for bankruptcy leaving the fate of the company and its US brand Greddy up in the air. Looks like things are going good because Trust/Greddy unveiled their highly tuned Nissan GT-R, fitted with the best of the best for R&D purposes.

Part of me is crying inside as I write this, Toyota recently launched the Crazy Car Project in hopes of changing the way people think about driving environmental friendly vehicles. Now I can think of several ways of doing this but I would never take a classic car like the Toyota 2000GT and retro fit it with a solar powered electric drive train.

With a ton of “Sh*t Girls Say” parodies popping up on YouTube, it was only a matter of time before someone made “Sh*t Honda Guys Say” video. Since the Honda crowd are usually the most vocal in the import car scene, they’ve accumulated a list of hilarious sayings we have all heard before. This video contains most of the classic one liners like “I’ll take it up to 9K this time” and “my VTEC didn’t kick in”. Hope there’s a part two!

Tokyo Auto Salon is easily one of the biggest and baddest car shows in the world. Car culture encompasses a lot of different styles but Tokyo Auto Salon is one of the few shows left that has everything from highly tuned imports to the ultra luxurious Rolls Royce. Luke’s video of the Tokyo Auto Salon 2012 does an amazing job of capturing the car culture in Japan, it’s simply people enjoying what they love.

I haven’t seen many 190s around town but back in the day these cars were thee sport sedans you wanted to get. As the predecessor of the C class, the 190 set the standard for luxury sport sedans in the eighties. Some where in Hong Kong the VW Owners Club set up a flash cruise in the streets of the bustling city. Well it wasn’t just any cruise, the owners played the famous Imperial March track and arranged themselves so that the leader of the pack is a black Scirocco (Darth Vader) while several white cars follow behind.
