To celebrate the return of Initial D I thought it would be a perfect time to release my shirt inspired by the cult classic anime/manga. I feel that a lot of people can say they were inspired by the show and while we didn’t know much about cars when we were exposed to these cool cars. I definitely remember watching the show in my teenage years but the image that stuck out the most for me was when Takumi’s raced the Toyota MR2 in Battle Stage and picked up a new trick.

A tribute to the cult classic manga series, Initial D, a story that focus on the world of illegal street racing in the mountains of Japan. Although originally a manga, many North Americans caught wind of the series through its many animated episodes. While many characters, teams and cars were featured in the anime nothing stood out more than the Takumi’s car: a plain old Toyota Sprinter Trueno (AE86).
