Mazda Iconic SP concept
It’s been quite some time since Mazda last revisited the rotary sports car, which concluded with the RX-8. The new Iconic SP concept unveiled at this year’s Japanese Mobility Show offered a glimpse of the rotary engine’s future, of course involving an electrical drivetrain. Unlike other brands, Mazda seems poised to utilize the internal combustion engine (ICE) as a means of charging the electric drivetrain, rather than directly powering the wheels. Apart from this, the car showcases the design language of the vehicle with its large grille and curvy body lines.
